Saif Ali Khan Stabbed by Intruder at Mumbai Residence, Demanded Rs 1 Crore Ransom

Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan faced a terrifying incident when a robber broke into his Mumbai residence. Reports from police indicate that the assailant, wielding a knife, gained entry through the room of Saif's young son, Jehangir, and demanded a staggering ransom of Rs 1 crore.

Reports suggest that the attacker might have concealed themselves within the house overnight. At approximately 2 AM, Saif was awakened by sounds coming from Jehangir's room, where a female staff member was being assaulted. The actor stepped in to help, leading to a violent confrontation. In the ensuing struggle, both Saif and the employee were injured, with Saif suffering six stab wounds.

He was swiftly taken to Lilavati Hospital at 3:30 AM, where Dr. Niraj Uttamani, the COO, assessed the seriousness of his injuries. Two of the cuts, caused by a sharp instrument, were particularly deep, with one perilously near his spine, requiring urgent surgical intervention.

The actor's representatives released a statement acknowledging the situation and asked for privacy, highlighting that the matter is still under police investigation. Fans were reassured that Saif is no longer in danger but was still receiving care in the hospital.

Mumbai police have ramped up their efforts to locate the attacker, assembling several teams dedicated to his apprehension. The investigation has received a boost from CCTV footage that has captured the assailant's face.

We are still waiting for more information regarding Saif Ali Khan’s recovery and the progress of the investigation.
